I am a fully qualified personal trainer and fitness class instructor, delivering sessions and classes on a daily basis both at my local gym and outdoors. I love what I do, meeting new people and helping them to become healthier, fitter, happier, and achieving their personal goals.
For many, the primary goal is to change body shape and the idea of punishing gym sessions to achieve this as soon as possible is not appealing. I make training fun and help my clients find ways to be fitter for life not just for short term gains.
From personal experience, I know how to train individuals from the very start of their fitness journey all the way to the level of an athlete. I started my own journey aged 18. Until then I did no exercise of any kind except what was compulsory in school, and I hated it. I was unhealthy and had no self-confidence. I took up running and started going to the gym and several years later ended up competing at an elite level in races from 1500m to marathon. What started as a simple means to stay in shape and get fit really changed my whole life.
Now as a certified Jog Leader and Level 2 Running Coach with Scottish Athletics, I coach runners from beginner to advanced level.
